My head was a dark place

Until you came along.

My thoughts, chaotic, twisted.

Urging me to end it all.

You are the beacon

At the end of the tunnel,

The bright light

Shining just for me,

Calling me home.

My mind was a whirlpool

Of suicide and anger,

Until your touch quieted the noise.

Through the disorder, you call to me,

And my body reacts before my brain.

I see you, coming toward me, hand outstretched,

And I automatically reach for you.

You are my lifeline,

Keeping me afloat,

As my thoughts are adrift on the river Styx.
