Nightmares come when your guard is down,
When you’re fast asleep and unaware.
Nightmares fly on setting suns
And come only by the dark of night,
When you’re crossing from consciousness to sleep.
When you cross the border into Dreamland,
Nightmares feed off of your fear and sadness
Of the hardships you have gone through
Or the hell you are going through,
Or make-believe horrors that accompany the moon.
